Instead of cold communal showers at the campsite, the new Grand California awaits you with a full bath with shower, toilet and plenty of counter space. The bathroom unit convinces with well thought-out functionality. So the sink can be folded up when the shower or toilet is used, the folding mirror is fixable. A motion detector switches on the indirect light and the mirror light. For towels there is a quadruple holder. And to protect against overflowing water, four water drains with dirt trap and odor trap are installed.

Featuring plenty of space to take home comforts on the road, the Grand California fits beds for two adults and two children, a separate bathroom and comfy living space into a safe, efficient package. White surfaces create a bright, airy atmosphere, increased by the optional panoramic skylight. The Grand California’s swivel front seats, large dining table and sliding side door let you enjoy open plan van life wherever you are.

A defining feature of the all-new Grand California is the cleverly-designed separate bathroom. The 840x800mm compartment includes a toilet, shower and space-saving foldout sink. There’s also integrated shelving and cupboards to store toiletries and towels. The 110L water tank means you won’t run dry, and the ventilating skylight clears the steam quickly. Motion-sensing lights are standard too, adding a touch of style.

You don’t build the world’s best-selling camper van without having good ideas along the way. Ideas like an external temperature-controlled shower – perfect for hosing sand or mud off after a long day, or for the world’s best view as you wash. The Grand California also features Bluetooth speakers in the living area, so you can play music independently of the infotainment system using your phone, tablet or laptop. There’s built-in storage for the camping table and chairs too, giving you an uncluttered living area.

The Grand California carries over the advanced safety and assistance features of the award-winning Crafter. Front Assist monitors your surroundings and links to City Emergency Braking in case of unexpected events. Park Assist helps you into tight spots in town, then Rear Traffic Alert and the Rear View camera help you back out of them.
